Who We Are

Bay of Plenty Touch is a community led organisation dedicated to growing the game of touch across our rohe.  We are proud to be working towards becoming a registered charitable entity,

with a commitment to promoting health, wellbeing and inclusive participation through sport.

Our grades span from Under 16 through to Masters.  We welcome players of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Whether you are stepping onto the field for the first time or returning to the game, there is a place for you here.

Our committee brings fresh energy and a shared commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for players, coaches, volunteers and whānau.

We believe in the power of sport to uplift, connect and inspire.  We are here to make that happen.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to build a thriving touch community where everyone feels seen, supported and valued.

We aim to:

  • Support lifelong participation.  From youth to Masters, we celebrate every stage of the journey.
  • Uphold our values.  We live out manaakitanga, kotahitanga and whanaungatanga in everything we do.
  • Strengthen our systems.  We focus on clear planning, transparent processes and continuous improvement.
  • Reconnect with our whānau.  We are rebuilding trust and relationships across our region.
  • Grow the game.  We create opportunities for development, leadership and excellence.

Touch is more than a sport.  It is a movement.
